Store Update for October 17, 2009

It's no secret that Halloween is my favorite Holiday and as such a near month long celebration ensues beginning on Oct. 1. I voraciously take in everything that's great about Halloween. The Horror Movies, Horror Stories, Pounds of Candy and perhaps dearest to my heart Horror games.

This month I've been reading Joe Hill's excellent short story collection 20th Century Ghosts which I would advise anyone looking for a unique take on the horror genre to check out.

(Also fun fact: Joe Hill is actually horror legend Stephen King's son.)

In the gaming area of my Halloween celebration I've fallen back to an old standby of mine the excellent Splatterhouse series. To me there's just no game like the Splatterhouses. The combination of great Beat 'Em Up action combined with psychological horror is can not be beat. Over the years now I've played these games countless times but still find myself returning to them time and time again.

A new game that I've been wanting to play since it was released for the Gamecube is Luigi's Mansion. It's a simple fun game much in the spirit of Halloween. It reminds me of when I was younger and world was a much more care free place. Glad to finally have the time to get into this one. Hoping to finish it in the next few days.

Now onto the store news, It's been a busy couple of week with a ton of great new merchandise uploaded and available for purchase. I've uploaded a TON of great Sega Genesis RPGs many of them hard to find games so make sure to check out my eBay listings for all my new items.

Also in the next month I'm making a concerted effort to get all the items I have avaiable in my eBay store inventoried, indexed and uploaded onto my website (pompeyparsons.com) By having these items listed on my own website I'll save nearly 15% on eBay fees for each item that sells through the store in turn I'll pass those savings onto you. So over the next month I'll keep you posetd but each game avaiable in my store will be about 15% less that what you'd find it for in my eBay store

Store Update for September 30, 2009

It's a cold fall day here in the great state of Michigan and it seems we've skipped right from summer into winter. There's nothing crisp about this fall day it's just freezing.

Time to curl up with a nice book or perhaps some nice Strategy RPGs and boy do I have quite a few of the latter.

www.chasethechuckwagon.com

Langrisser II
-One of my favorite Strategy RPGs of all time. Langrisser II is the sequel to Langrisser better known in the States as Warsong. Nice to have another solid game in the vein of Shining Force for the Genesis. This is a great English Language Reproduction done by world reknown reproductionist Bratwurst.

eBay-On eBay we've got a slew of great GBA Strategy RPGs. All games are complete with original box and instructions. Just click any of the links to check out the listings.

Fire Emblem

Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones

Tactics Ogre

Advance Wars

Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

Golden Sun: The Lost Age

And lastly while it doesn't fit into our RPG theme, it is one of the simplest most addictive games ever to hit the NES so rev your engines for:

Store Update for September 28, 2009

Currently playing: Advance Wars (GBA) and Galaga 90 (Turbo Grafx-16)

It's been awhile since I gave a store update. Many have asked if the store stock was up to date because of the lack of blog updates but I assure you that the store stock is up to date. I'm better about updating my inventory than I am about updating this blog. (Something I hope to rectify in the weeks to come.

The website has taken somewhat of a back seat in recent months to my eBay listings where my new stock usually pops up first so always be sure to check out my new eBay listings as new inventory is added on eBay daily.

I've also been adding some new listings to www.chasethechuckwagon.com which is a great specialty video game auction site.

Here are a few unique items that I'm glad to have up for sale as I think it's important to offer a diverse selection of systems and games so that hopefully everyone can find something of interest to them.

Region Modded Sega Saturn-Great way to play all those Japanese import games you've been wanting to without the need for an Action Replay Plus. Great looking system.

House of the Dead (Sega Saturn)-This is a fantastic looking copy of one of the harder find Sega Saturn games. There's still nothing like picking up a big bulky orange stunner gun and blasting away at Zombies all from the comfort of your own home.

Turbo Grafx-16 Controller Extension Cord
-No don't get me wrong the Turbo Grafx-16 (along with the Sega Saturn) is my favorite system but one fatal design flaw was that the controller cords were just too short. This Extension cord is great as it gives you 6 more feet.

Turbo Grafx-16 Carrying Case-This is a great way to store your Turbo Grafx-16. Check it out you don't see these up for sale too often.

Neo Geo Pocket Color (Platinum Silver)- is still in stock along with a couple other variations of the NGPC. Also I don't like to brag but we've got a huge selection of NGPC games up for sale as well.

That's all for now as always if you have questions about a game or a price or need help tracking down a hard to find game please contact me and I'll my best to help you out.

Store Update for July 20, 2009.

Our stock is continuing to be added to the website slowly but surely. Each week adds some great new products.

Today we've just uploaded some great systems. There's a little Something for everyone. We've now got Gamecube, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast systems as well as some great handheld systems as well in the form of the Neo Geo Pocket Color and the Bandai Wonderswan.

Also I'm happy to announce we've just added a factory sealed copy of what in my opinion is the most difficult to find Neo Geo Pocket Color game.

What is it you ask?

Well check the link here

That's all for the time being but rest assured new products will continue to appear in our store as we continue to strive to offer your a great selection of classic games.

Store Update for July 10, 2009

Hope every one had a great Fourth of July filled with Hot Dogs, Burgers, Potato Salad and all the other staples of the American diet.

While you've been filling up on delicious cuisine we've been busy here getting the store filled with retro games.

By the end of the night we should have the majority of our Sega Saturn selection available for purchase.

Also we have a huge selection of Retro Gamer uploaded which I'm very happy to offer. If you haven't read Retro Gamer yet do yourself a favor and pick up a copy. It delivers the most bang for the buck of any video game magazine out there today.

Store Update for June 18, 2009

New Sega Genesis games continue to be listed in the store with still about 120 more to go! An arduous task but one that I'll continue to strive and complete.

Also half of our Sega CD inventory has been listed today as well. A whooping 8 games. 8 more to go and then our entire inventory will be on our website. The Sega CD is an area where I'd like to expand our current inventory.

We had a couple of rare Turbo gems up for sale earlier; Super Air Zonk and Lords of Thunder. Within 3 hours of being listed both games were sold so if you want a shot at grabbing some of these harder to find titles make sure to check back with us often.

Also if you're looking for something in particular just shoot us an email and we'll special order it for you and if it's a very rare game we'll track it down.

Store Update for June 12, 2009

Well its been about four days now and I think I've underestimated how time consuming getting 1,000 new items inventoried and uploaded is going to be. I'm making progress but its slow going at this point.

-The majority of the stores Turbo Grafx-16 selection has now been added as well as NeoGeo Pocket Color and Nintendo Gamecube.

-Next on the docket is getting over 200 Sega Genesis games uploaded and into the website's inventory so bear with me.

-I'm also working on an extensive Frequently Asked Question section to answer any questions you may have pertaining to the store.

So keep checking back as there's more items coming on a daily basis.

June 8, 2009 Update

It's nice to finally have my own little slice of the internet in which to conduct business. About 3 years ago I started selling games online to help fund my own collection. Three years later it's become a full time business.

Now with this expansion to my own website I'm now able to offer you better prices on a huge variety of games.

Take a look around as I'm in the process of uploading over 1,000+ video games, consoles and accessories. Each day you'll see new items popping up for sale.

I will continue to not only provide you with some of the highest quality games but also the best shopping experience you've ever had. I pride myself on our great customer service and fast shipping.

Each item we ship is carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and mailed in a sturdy cardboard box to ensure it arrives in the condition in which it was purchased. All games are shipped Priority Mail
which means in 2-3 days your game will be in your hands ready to play.

This isn't just a business for me it's a passion. Games are something I've loved my entire life. I love playing them, collecting them and learning about their history.

Thanks to each one of you who have made it possible for me to have this business I truly enjoy.

Sincerely,

Patrick H. McNash aka Pompey Parsons
